Abstract

In this research article, the stories behind the sufferings and struggles of the people belonging to the Mundari community have been discussed. Many years ago, their civilization was built around the forested Chotanagpur plateau. The purpose is to avoid the influence of urban civilization and build a settlement in a quiet and secluded place far away in the middle of nature. But they could not stay calm for long. As soon as the company rule was established, the need for wood in the pursuit of development fell upon these forest areas. And that's when the tribal people fought against the royal power. They do not want any harm to the good of the country. They say nothing unless it harms them. But no one can accept it silently when the rule-exploiting tyranny is carried out day after day. He did not hesitate to choose the method of fighting by being forced to risk his life in order to regain the rights of the forest. The history of that struggle becomes the subject of this article. In this narrative, we get a picture of the plight and lamentation of the Aranyachari tribal people. The primitive inhabitants of eastern India joined the movement on that day to protect their forest motherland from the coral claws of external enemies. People like Birsa Munda are the main and last masters of this movement. Therefore, forest rights have become the lifeblood of Birsa and its community.
