Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Manuscripts are welcome in English and Bengali, on any of the subject areas listed on the About page or related to them in a larger context.

Submission Process

  1. Prepare your manuscriptFollow the formatting rules below and obtain a plagiarism-check certificate.
  2. Register and log inCreate an author account on this website (or log in if you already have one).
  3. Submit onlineChoose "Make a Submission", complete the checklist, upload your files and enter the metadata.
  4. Blind peer reviewYour manuscript is checked for plagiarism and sent for blind peer review. You may be asked to revise it.
  5. Acceptance & publicationAccepted articles are prepared in the journal format and published open access in a forthcoming issue.

Preparing Your Manuscript

File format

  • Submit the manuscript as a Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF file.
  • Text is single-spaced, in a 12-point font. Use italics rather than underlining (except for URLs).
  • Place illustrations, figures and tables within the text at the appropriate points, not at the end.

Structure

  • Title of the article.
  • Author details: name, designation, department, institution, country and email address of every author.
  • Abstract, followed by keywords.
  • Main text with clear section headings, for example Introduction, Discussion and Conclusion.
  • References at the end. Provide URLs for references where available.

Research Integrity

Originality

The submission must not have been published before, nor be under consideration by another journal.

Plagiarism certificate

Submit a plagiarism-check certificate with your article. Every article is checked again with iThenticate, including for AI-generated content, before acceptance.

Blind peer review

Remove your name and affiliation from the file properties and the review copy, so reviewers cannot identify you.
